Digital X-rays
X-rays are fundamental tools for dental professionals. They allow us to detect problems that we would otherwise be unable to see, from hidden cavities to abscesses under a tooth. We use low-radiation digital X-rays because they provide images immediately available for viewing (without the need for any chemical processing), and they emit 80% less radiation than their conventional counterparts.
DIAGNOdent® Laser Cavity Detection
Many of our patients are concerned about whether or not they have cavities. With DIAGNOdent®, we can find cavities before they’re even detectable in a visual exam. This tool uses laser technology to identify decay in an easy, painless process. All we do is scan the device over your teeth! When we spot cavities while they’re still small, we can get your treatment started sooner and stop more serious damage in its tracks.
Intraoral Camera
We’re not here to just give you orders about your dental care. We want to help you better understand your oral health so you can make informed choices about what’s best for you and your smile. We use the intraoral camera to take images and videos of the inside of your mouth. We then put these up on a monitor so you can actively participate in your dental care by seeing what we see, asking us specific questions, and clarifying next steps.
VELscope® Oral Cancer Screening
When oral cancer is caught early, there is a very high survival rate. We’re concerned with your overall wellness, so we want to detect signs of the disease as soon as possible. We offer oral cancer screenings using VELscope®, a small tool that looks like a flashlight and highlights any suspicious areas in the mouth that might signal oral cancer.
Soft Tissue Laser (LANAP)
Laser dentistry is paving the way toward more precise, less painful dental care. We use soft tissue lasers for a variety of reasons, including to treat gum disease. Some of the benefits of this technology include more comfortable procedures, faster recovery times, and no need for stitches.
DentalVibe®
We’ve seen how dental fear and anxiety can stand in the way of people getting the care they need. DentalVibe is a useful tool for helping anxious patients get through procedures involving injections. It sends a gentle vibration that distracts your brain from feeling any discomfort, and at the same time, it disperses anesthesia. When DentalVibe is used, many people don’t even realize they’ve had an injection!
